RACE FAQs:

Can I bring my stroller?

YES this is a stroller friendly race. Children under the age of 3 in a stroller do not need to register for the race. However, if you would like the child in a stroller to receive a bib, medal and t-shirt, please contact info@beyondeventsgo.com for special stroller-registration.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are allowed in Pasadena, however, they are not allowed in San Diego. Unfortunately, our Mission Bay permit does not allow for dogs. Service dogs excepted.

Is there an age limit?

Nope – Awesome 80’s Run is for all ages!

Do I have to go to bib pick-up prior to the race?

We love options, so we wanted to give you options too! You can pick up your bib at the bib pick-up the day before the event or on race morning.

Does everyone get a finisher medal, including the 5K finishers?

YES, all participants will receive a finisher medal at the finish line. Kids in stroller will receive a medal only if they are registered and wearing a bib.

Is the medal the same for all distances?

YES, all participants will receive the awesome Rubik’s Cube finisher medal. Check it out HERE!

Does the Rubik’s Cube medal work?

YES, this is a solvable, working Rubik’s Cube. You are going to LOVE it! See it in action HERE!

Can I receive a refund?

All entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE with the following exceptions ONLY:

Active duty military members who are unable to participate because they are unexpectedly deployed may request a refund less a $20 administration fee. Email your request with a copy of orders to info@beyondeventsgo.com no later than April 1,2018.

If you are unable to attend the race, you may transfer your bib to another participant.

Can I transfer to another runner?

YES transfers are allowed for a $10 fee. Please submit all transfer requests please e-mail: info@beyondeventsgo.com.

Can I switch my race distance?

YES you can switch distance for a $10 fee plus any difference in registration fees. If you are transferring down in distance there is no refund. Please submit all transfer requests please e-mail: info@beyondeventsgo.com.

Can I defer my registration?

Yes, you can defer your registration to the following year for a $10 fee. All requests must be received prior to 21 days before the race. Please submit your request to defer please e-mail: info@beyondeventsgo.com.

Is there a charge for parking?

Nope! Both events have free parking!

Will there be a gear check?

We will have gear drop at the event. Gear drop is a fenced in area at the race with volunteers guarding the entrance. We cannot be responsible for missing items or bags.

Is there a time limit?

Nope – take your time!

What if it rains?

Awesome 80s Run will take place rain or shine. However, if conditions are determined by city officials to be unsafe, the race will be rescheduled. No refunds will be made.

When does the virtual race open?

It will open on May 1st.

I won an award but wasn't able to stay to pick it up. What should I do?

If you were unable to attend and would like your medal mailed to you after the event, or if you were unable to stay for your winner award, please send $10 plus your address and requested items. Items will be sent on March 15 and May 15. All items will be donated on June 1 and will no longer be available.

I was unable to attend the race. How can I get my medal?

If you were unable to attend and would like your medal mailed to you after the event, or if you were unable to stay for your winner award, please send $10 plus your address and requested items. Items will be sent on March 15 and May 15. All items will be donated on June 1 and will no longer be available.
